Resolve to Get it Done

"For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity." - Proverbs 24:16 NJKV

Failure is never final until a person quits trying. As the person continues to try, failure is really no more than a setback...a possibility to learn from mistakes and try again.

Righteous people may fail time and time again, but they continue to "rise again." To get up and keep trying. When wicked people fail, however, they are led into a downward spiral that causes "calamity." There is no recovery...no learning.

Failure is part of the human experience. It can be painful and embarrassing, but it can also be your greatest teacher. God's definition of success does not preclude failure. However, it includes a willingness to refuse to quit...to learn from one's mistakes...to try again.

Whatever it is that you have resolved to do-lose weight, exercise more, have devotions each day, take a class, have time alone with your man-don't quit! Resolve to stay with it!

With God,  all things are possible. Get started and make it happen!

Let's pray:

Lord,

Help me to understand that failure is part of life, part of the process of learning and becoming better. Give me strength to face the failures that will come my way. Give me courage to rise up and start again!

Amen.

With Love,
"B"
